The Year that was 2015

In January, we welcomed two new members to the company when our Artistic director became a father to two beautiful twin girls! (Hopefully we'll see them in a show soon...)

In March, we travelled to Glasgow's Tron Theatre with our smash hit show, 'Man In The Moon', headlining the 'Football Colours aloud' anti-sectarian weekend with rave reviews in the National Press.

After a week at Féile an Earraigh and a trip to Newcastle upon Tyne, we were invited to perform the piece in the Bozar theatre in Brussels thanks to generous support of the Arts Council and the NI Tourist Board. The pinnacle for this show came in April when Brassneck were proud to produce our first ever show at Belfast's Lyric Theatre.

The show sold out and received rave reviews across the boards. We also facilitated workshops on the show with kids from Ardoyne & The Shankill road.

After being affiliated as a 'World host' organisation this Summer, we launched the remount of our 2014 hit show 'The Holy, Holy bus' with the heavenly voices of 'The singing priests'.

The show premiered once again at the Lyric Theatre for two weeks, the Newcastle centre for the Summer season, Féile at the Roddys and the Stormont Hotel as part of the Eastside arts festival. The show sold out at all venues in record time.

September marked the beginning of something very special to us. We finally established our long anticipated BRASSNECK Youth theatre company and it has been an amazing success. If you're aged 11-18, there's still time to join in 2016...
Once again in September we featured at The 1st Irish Theatre Festival in New York City with 'The Holy, Holy Bus'.
Our final show of the year was Mick Draines' 'Lemonade Sandwich'. Our third production at the Lyric this year, it was great success, cementing a wonderful, new relationship between BRASSNECK and the Lyric.
