The Year that was 2014

In association with Centrestage Theatre Company, Brassneck were able to offer two full time scholarships to young local budding actors from West Belfast who enjoyed a week long placement at a Summer drama course.

Autumn saw the beginning of rehearsals for the madcap journey onboard Pearse Elliott's 'The Holy, Holy bus'. Our third collaboration with Pearse, the show went on to sell out at the Waterfront hall with standing ovations every night as part of the company's first participation at the Belfast festival at Queens.

It also picked up the prestigious 'Belfast Telegraph audience award' at the festival before embarking on a sold out tour of regional theatres across the north of Ireland along with a cross community venture to the Shankill road before finishing the journey with an entirely sold out weeks run at our spiritual home, the Roddy Mc Corley social club.

This project also saw Brassneck take on a young intern via the Y.E.S scheme who became an indispensable member of the production team and as a result, the company will be looking to retain their services for possible future productions.

Plans for 2015 are already afoot and we have some HUGELY EXCITING announcements that we will be making over the next few days, so watch this space folks. Have a fantastic new year guys and we promise you, we will be giving our audiences a truly extra special year ahead in 2015 for you to look forward to!!!!
